Geotto was honored at the prestigious Mkulima Digital Recognition Awards for our groundbreaking mobile app that seamlessly integrates Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Internet of Things (IoT) to transform farming practices in Kenya. Our journey began with a vision to empower farmers facing challenges like unpredictable weather, resource management, and limited access to real-time data. Through dedication, innovation, and a drive to harness cutting-edge technology, Geotto has developed a solution that enables farmers to remotely monitor farm conditions, automate processes, and make data-driven decisions with ease. Our mobile app provides instant insights on crucial metrics and system performance, allowing farmers to respond swiftly and efficiently. By leveraging IoT sensors and AI analytics, we help optimize farm productivity, reduce losses, and promote sustainable practices. This recognition not only celebrates our perseverance and ingenuity but also marks a significant milestone in our mission to revolutionize agriculture. As we continue to innovate and scale our solutions, we envision a future where every farmer in Kenya, regardless of size or location, can achieve higher yields, lower costs, and environmental sustainability through smart technology.

🌞 Make Hay While the Sun Shines! 🌾

At Geotto, we believe partnerships are the heartbeat of impactful change, and our first day at Barnview Hay Farm in Kericho County was proof. Barnview isn't just your average hay supplier—it's a transformative initiative, offering farmers high-quality hay at a fraction of market price. Supported by the World Bank’s Kenya Climate-Smart Agriculture Project (KCSAP), Barnview leased 60 hectares of land to keep hay affordable for farmers at just 150 Ksh per bale, compared to the usual 200-250 Ksh! 💪 Our visit kicked off with a warm welcome from IT Officer Collins Kipyegon, a forward-thinking innovator of the Mercedes Benz beVisioneers Fellowship, and Barnview’s chairman and key operator, Mr. Victor, who gave us an inspiring tour of their state-of-the-art operations. However, Barnview faces real challenges—unpredictable weather and resource constraints- making quality hay production tough. 🌧️ But the team’s dedication is unmatched, and together, we’re determined to support them in creating resilient, sustainable agricultural practices for the region. Stay tuned for more updates on this promising partnership! #Agriculture #ClimateSmart #BarnviewHayFarm #SustainableFarming #Kenya
